thats why i was comparing it to someone saying a lambo is faster..its not..as much as im not fond of the z06, its faster and cheaper than a lambo..

what if the audi ends up faster than a lamborghini, and cheaper? it'll be like the z06...cheaper and faster as well..

What about the V12 TDI R8, everything Ive read says its still coming (once they figure out how to package it)? It may not end up being as 'sporty' as a Gallardo but it would have better numbers. Surely this version would be more sought after than the Gallardo, especially since the Lambo is pushing 4+ years old and they've already made 17963 'special' versions of it.

A diesel powered sportscar/supercar would be one thing, and I'm sure that with the diesel craze there is in Europe these days every wealthy bussiness man would want one, of course along with the other must-have modern development, the flappy paddle gearbox.

But a V10 engined R8 wouldn't be a wise move by Audi, in my opinion, because that would cannibalise the sales for the Gallardo. And for this they might as well stop making the Gallardo at all. Altough it seems that, that's what Porsche wants to do (sort of) when they get full control of VAG.

But now you are assuming that modern day Lamborghini buyers listen to reason. Let's face it, if they would they wouldn't consider a Lambo. Lamborghini's are sold because of their brand association. The only things that are essential are a look-at-me design (preferably combined with a look-at-me color) and the raging bull on the emblem.

it will only become available in Miod 2007 and Audi will built only 15 per day...
