I think it fits it really well. Well enough that a Sony fanboi such as myself actually watches GoW commercials any time I see them. The song makes the game seem that much more epic and huge and awesome.

the track fits such movies as donnie darkko which it is renowned for. A big beefy guy with an oversized gun isnt elegant and the song is. It would fit a final fantasy trailer but not this. in my opinion.

Depends who you're marketing it to. Some people would undoubtedly find a large gun elegant- someone heavily into Halo, or a senior NRA member, perhaps...

I see your point, just don't agree with it Metallica's 'One' would be a much more typical song.

I just heard heard the one from the 80's, by tears and fears, and it really IS rubbish.

One of the few cases when the cover is actually better than the original.

Yes "ONE" would be very fitting but then again the trailler would have to be 7 minutes long to do justyice to the song.
