    Email Warning Please Read

VERY IMPORTANT WARNING Please Be Extremely Careful especially if using internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet.

You may receive an apparently harmless email with a Power Point presentation "Life is beautiful."

If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and delete it immediately.

If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: "It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful."

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus software's are not

capable of destroying it. The virus has been created by a hacker who

calls himself "life owner." PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS

and ask them to PASS IT ON IMMEDIATELY.

Indeed, since it's not there to corrupt specified files, it's there to destroy everything and gain access to your personal information.

It's a hoax, as confirmed by Symantec.

They're nearly always hoaxes, that's why it's worth using a good security system that automatically updates for new threats. It's also worth using a Mac since most hacks are designed to hurt PCs. We use both in our office out of neccesity and have had our firewalls breached in the past, but only the PCs were affected.

As a genral rule of thum, I never open an e-mail unless I'm 100% sure who sent it to me. Even though this threat proved to be false, it's good to be on the alert.

My friend and I alway email each other with titles that make honest emails look like viruses. Stuff like, Real Rolexes Real Cheap! or A Secret Valentine! Needless to say it's had me a little on edge when opening attachments from him.

Anyone who opens unverified attachments from unknown senders deserves whatever shit they inadvertently download.

It's plain and simple, don't trust/know the source, use caution.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.
