No, there's isn't such a thing as a DSG RS4. Volkswagen hasn't still developped the DSG gearbox for longitudinal engines (Veyron aside), and anyway the current tranversal DSG gearbox couldn't handle the V8's torque.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.

audi could have added its auto (tip-tronic) box but marketed the car specifically with a manual, this is part of its character.

There have been RS cars with automatic gearboxes before. And anyway I don't believe in marketing...

The RS4 is a very different RS car (high NA power, 40:60 power split, manual box,..) so.

marketing cant be ignored its everywhere, marketers have lots of tricks up their sleevs (for example inserting smells and noises into supermarkets to make you buy stuff and stay longer, or the hard seats in McDonalds-thats so you get out quickly and allo higher customer count)

When VAG make a longditudinal DSG or S-Tronic gearbox, no doubt they'll offer it as an option on the RS4

The triptronic isn't what i had in mind, the DSG would be very good, auto function and a very fast semi.

In my opinion nothing beats the pleasure of a manual gearbox.

Yeah, Manuals are so much more involving...

But I'd have a DSG if one was up for offer

    BMW M5 for the win!

    507hp V10 > 415hp V8
    520Nm > 430Nm
    7 speed SMG > 6 speed manual
    4.6s to 60 > 4.8s to 60

Plus I think the M5 look better.
Power, whether measured as HP, PS, or KW is what accelerates cars and gets it up to top speed. Power also determines how far you take a wall when you hit it
    Engine torque is an illusion.
