I think the Ferrari P4/5 Pininfarina is the most beautiful car on that list. The P4/5 has that magical appearance and style. The other cars are beautiful but they "can't hold a candle" to the Ferrari P4/5 Pininfarina in terms of beauty/great physical appearance.

The Murcie has that no-nonsense Lambo look you just can't ignore. Versace just builds on the sheer beauty of the car.

I had to go with Lamborghini. It's a special kind of design. Its menacing and intimidating, but yet conservative. Most other exotics seem to be far too exaggerated. IMO nothing else comes close to the murc.

Numbers have nothing to do with style. Elegance and efficiency are almost always opposed terms. Two examples will help you:

-The Alfa Romeo Brera. Yes it's heavy and slow, but if you look at it you will realise why no one can beat italians when it comes to style. The Audi TT will arguably being a much better machine, it's nowhere near the Alfa in terms of style and passion.

-The Mercedes-Benz CLS. For once Mercedes ditched efficiency and they came up what arguably is one of the most elegant saloons on sale today. It's nowhere near as efficient as the E-class in terms of space, but put the two side by side and you'll realise which is the most stylish.

It doesnt need to be supercar figures... just try to imagine both were 3 pot 1.5 diesels under their hood, with a 3 speed autobox, how's that? the glorious sounding of alfa's engine, is a kind of performance, the excellent build and comfort levels of the cls is also a show of substance.

That's also another way of seeing it.

The preference of one car over another has easily as much to do with emotion as it does about pure numbers. Remember that Top Gear episode in which a sexy Aston Martin DB5 was clearly outperformed, by a modern Golf or Corolla or some nondescript hatchback? (so nondescript I've forgotten what it was) The newer car had the performance numbers, and the substance too - but not half the emotion. Which would you prefer?
