i have always wondered this, lets say you take 2 bolts of equal length and grade and the only difference is the threads, which one is stronger fine thread or coarse?

I would say fine threads because the closer they are together the greater the surface area of the corkscrew itself, making them more effective (e.g. hold better). The threat of crossing threads becomes greater though.
the one with more threads have more surfaces holding. therefore they are stronger.
Honor. Courage. Commitment. Etcetera.
fine is, in my auto class we had a month unit on fastners
Fine threads is definitely the right answer.
As everybody have said already; fine threads are the strongest.
They are always used on parts that needs the thightest and strongest connection. For example on my Seven I use very fine threads from the midle-axle to the rearend nose.
They are also very easy to destroy.. so make sure everything is very clean and no debries from other metal parts in there
Just an advice from someone who have ****ed up on this a few times
thanks good info!
