It starts out as a Porsche ... what do you mean turning a Ferrari into a Porsche lookalike?!

It doesn't start life as a Porsche, it's just powered by a Porsche engine (and maybe uses a Porsche transmision too), but the rest is 100% Ruf. However the article is very old and since then no new info has been leaked or further prototypes photographed.

This man has it right. It had 700 horsepower and was relatively light (about 2900 pounds IIRC) I remember seeing this car in a few magazines a while back. It looked to be a stellar performer, but apparently they've given up on the project.

rufs are made using a tuned version of the porsche engine, and the redesigned version of the shell from the porsche, but the rest is made by ruf. theres no ferrari in them at all. and those headlights arent the prettiest.

In July's Road and Track one of the cover stories is about Ruf's current "supercar" the Ruf CTR3, which the front half is the 911 GT3 RS and the back part of the frame is completely original. Ruf says that sometime in the near future they will develop a 100% original supercar of their own accord with probably only a Porsche sourced engine.

EDIT: Here is a link to the gallery of CTR3 pics, the article is also on the site: http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....rticle_id=5336
