After hearing a squadron of NSX's in a tunnel and having them speed past one by one, Honda FTW.

"Dear, I'll be right back, I'm just going for a quick spirt in the Espirt"
EDIT: Just to be clear, I wasn't trying to poke fun at you SonicADG, only at the Espirt bit. When I first heard of Hyundai, I pronounced it as "Hey-haah-nn-doo"... Needless to say that caused a couple of blank stares in it's time!

Sonicadg: It's spelled E-S-P-R-I-T and pronounced "Es-pree".
Plus I vote for it.
Top Gear power lap times:
Honda NSX Type R: 1.31.6
Lotus Esprit V8: 1.32.5
Not much in it. I'd take the Esprit for the looks and the whole cool factor.
PPC - Put a V8 in it!
The NSX-R ran on a wet track.... Extremely wet.Originally Posted by h00t_h00t
Yep, it's about 4.7s for a regular NSX (Magazine #s)NSX 0-60mph 5secs? where you got that info? it should've been under 5.
Anyway, I give my vote to the NSX. I simply love the car (everybody should know that by now ) The Esprit is a kickass car as well though.
For the sake of this comparison, the time shown here is for the NSX-R, the comparison is between the regular NSX and the Esprit V8. If the comparison featured the R, I may have gone for it. It was Evo's COTY in 2003 and they even featured a comparison between that and a PAGANI ZONDA S. They said that DESPITE THE PRICE DIFFERENCE, BOTH CARS THRILLED EQUALLY!Originally Posted by h00t_h00t

Is this Agusta named after him by any chance?Originally Posted by drakkie
I had no idea the NSX's gas mileage was worse than that of the Espirit's.
Am I the only one who doesn't like Esprit V8? For what it's worth, I still prefer it to the NSX, but I'd much rather have a 1994 Esprit S4 than either of the two aforementioned vehicles.

But we'd both rather have a TVR (in my case a Tuscan S) than pretty much any comparable car, right?Originally Posted by Mr.Tiv

Yes, I am happy to say, we agree on that.Originally Posted by Clivey

The Esprit was a ****ing amazing car plagued by a bad market. That thing served ass with a four banger, it's just that, unfortunately, potential buyers wanted some meat for their money, and boosting the engine size put it into an innapropriate class.
Esprit ftw.

I see NSXs on the streets sometimes, so I have to go with the Esprit. It's such a nice car anyways.
I dont if I'll make home tonight
But I know I can swim

As nice of a car as the NSX is, it has little or no soul compared to Esprit
