    Audi R8 vs Audi RS4

    Audi R8

    Price: $110,000+
    Horsepower:420 bhp @ 7800 rpm
    Torque:317 lb-ft @ 3500 rpm
    Max RPM:8250 rpm
    0-60 mph:4.5 sec

    Audi RS4

    Price: $66,000
    Horsepower:420 bhp

    Max RPM:8250 rpm

Which car would you prefer? Do you think the R8 is worth the projected price?

    what's the weight difference?

to be honest i was never really a fan of the R8, but seeing another sports car ont he market is not a bad thing

the R8 is a better looking car, which is a better sports car and probably the better general car. However, it's based on a Lamborghini, and i believe the RS4 to be a bigger achievement for Audi, with the first proper good fast Saloon. Signalled the start of better driving Audis (Q7 is meant to be very good handling, S8, R8, S3) S6 is the odd one out, because it's not meant to be as good as the others, but just wait for the RS6.

I'd take the R8, I mean, how many R8's are you ever going to see compared to the numbers of RS4's... In it's various inCARnations... tehehe

well, i've only seen one current gen RS4... as it was at a racetrack i informed the owner he had too many doors and his engine was incorrectly placed to be a proper race car

R8, both are vastly different cars despite the use of the same engine. R8's engine is a dry sump.... sits lower, smaller.. oh and its CORRECTLY PLACED. And it looks out of this world, it actually looks futuristic, which is a very difficult thing to do in today's car industry, every one is going retro, and Ferraris, Lamborghinis are too typical....

I'll have the RS4. Similar hardware, more practicality.

    Avant please.

I second that. Modern day Lambo's aren't really my thing and unless I'm corrected I'd place the R8 in the the same category. I've yet to see it in person though. On the other hand I quite like the "family" Audi's especially the Avant versions.

I don't know. I'll take the R8, just because I might not need an extra two doors.
