    Previous years, Team De Rooy drove their DAF threw the dessert on their way to Dakar. But this year they are taking a Ginaf.


    Total length: 6400mm
    Wide: 2550mm
    Height: 3200mm
    Wheelbase: 4400mm
    Total weight: ± 8800 kg
    Divided front/rear: 55/45

    Engine:
    Type: DAF XE 390C, 6 cylinders in line
    Capacity: 12,6 liter
    Direct injection 6 cylinder in line turbo diesel with four valves per cylinder,
    electronically arranged high pressure UPEC fuel injection,
    single turbo compressor en intercooler (air to air).
    Maximum power: 800 bhp @ 2600 rpm (590 kW @ 2600 rpm)
    Maximum torque: 3100 Nm @ 1400 -1800 rpm

    I'm excited about this one... I hope they can perform the way we have seen them do a couple of times. So that means a spot on the podium...

    seeing that put a great big smile on my face... off-road racing trucks (real trucks too and not these sissy watered down F-100's either ) are cool

    That's really awesome. Do they carry anything else there in the bed other than spare tires and parts, food, water and stuff like that?

    I've been wondering about what they do about the space. Maybe it's empty- a light truck is a fast truck.
