In about 4 or 5 hours I beat it 3 times (Exotic, Tuner, Muscle). It was fine the first time. Yes, I know, I was real damn bored. My other game choices were NHL 06 and Madden 06. I was at my grandparents house, and they don't have a computer, (but do have a real nice Bravia) so I didn't feel like doing anything else. (After playing Madden and NHL for while, they lose their appeal).

You dont have to stick with one type tho, you can buy other types along the way. I had a Challenger concept, a Camaro SS, a Gallardo, and a Brera that all looked as stock as possible. I am a totally no ricing kind of guy

I know, but you can only get specific cars by starting with a certain type, e.g- start with a Tuner, get the Skyline, Exotic- Carrera GT, Muscle- GT500.

After initially looking forward to this game, here's my findings after finishing it in 2 days:

It sucks. Truly. It sucketh mine enthusiasm dryeth.
    It's like a half-baked Most Wanted.
The story is so silly they may as well have left it out of the game completely. They tried to make it so online based that playing the game offline has become diluted.
Where the F are the unique performance upgrades in Career Mode???

Why oh why did you make the cars so ridiculous-handling? Sure, I'd be able to swallow a Carrera GT out-pacing a Viper or C6 (in fact I expect it), but having the Viper and C6 slither on the road like snails on roller-skates - COME ON! And I don't care how tuned a Shelby GT500 is, it will never ever be able to take on a field of Murcielagos, Carrera GTs, SLRs and GTs on a track AND win by a country mile.

If this is where the NFS series is planned to be heading, then I say NFS should be taken out back and shot like an old decrepit bacterial- and virally- infected XT PC.

If you're one of the lucky ones not to have played this game yet, for the love of all that is good and pure heed my warning: Stay as far away from it as possible!

Yeah, Porsche Unleashed kicked ass! But I agree: Carbon totally sucks. Underground/Underground 2 was too ricer, but nice other than that, and MW was pretty solid... With Carbon, it seems like EA have gone two steps forward and then five steps back.
Kooper, there's no unique performance upgrades in Carbon. They've been ditched.
