A Vantage is a high power version of a AM - available as either a fixed roof or Volante.

In this case there is no Vantage for the DB9 currently, but there is a SDP suspension kit optional.

50% tax on new cars heh....

Then not forget the tax on petrol AND the road tax. It comes down to that i will pay 3000 euro(incl. insurance) a year for a nissan micra that cost me 500€

The Spyker C8 starts at $289,000 here. There is one at a dealership about an hour from here and that's what the newspaper article I saw on listed the starting price as.

this also illustrates one of the reasons why the 300 mln people in the USA consume over 20% of the annual world oil production.....(and of course they blame China and India for the high oil prices )

    112,000 Euros for an H2!?

Pick one up new over here for.... "From $68,435 MSRP*" CAD.

My guess is they priced it accordingly so less people would buy the pointless polluting heap.

Not always, The faster Vanquish is called the S, and the entry level Aston Martin is called V8 Vantage as its model name, not as a faster version of an hipotetic V8.

Ferrer you are correct, but I was attempting to illustrate the point that there is no DB9 Vantage, nor is the Vantage nameplate related to the roof type, as it is possible (on the DB6&7 and the older V8 at least) to order a Vantage Volante
