We had one of those for two years.
It was a 5-door silver hatchback with a 1.6-litre engine.

Visca Catalunya!
britains best selling car.
technically, the original focus mk1 is the one with the yellow indicator and fog light below the headlights. They then completely updated the front bumper area and called it the 'new' focus with the single fog lights in the new ford style. It looks very different. Whether or not that makes it mk2 i dont know.

Great car, just make sure you get an early one! Or you will be epicly disapointed.

But all Focus above are the mark 1 generation, built from 1999 till 2005. In 2005 the new Mk2 started in Europe. The Mk2 for the US-market just get a new front style, how cotterik says. But in Europe the Mk2 is completly new designed in platform, body, etc. E.g. the Focus ST with the 5 cylinder Volvo engine is one child of this generation.
Appendix: the Mk1 Focus in Europe get a "facelift" in 2003, but ist still the Mk1. The FL Focus have the indicators in the headlights, gets new foglights, gets protection strips at the front and rear bumber, etc.
this thing is only for the us-market right?
doesn't it look like a citroen/renault in the front and also everywhere else not like a ford?
is there also a hatch coming?
I'm thankful not to see this on german streets... Thought the european version is awful, but this will take the title...

Oh, it's not Saturn? Sure looks like one.
I like it. It's a welcome change from the current US version, which is a little tired looking.
