    Right.

Actually, I (or anyone) can disagree with a policy even if they were not old enough or alive to witness it.

you may disagree now, but to formulate it as :"I did not support" means an activity, while the policy was being executed.....

and by the way the things you quote that you largely disagree with relates to tax measures. And in this way you are cannot be defined as a patriot. You more look like a selfish "have" than a compassionate member of society that wants to share things in the interest of his country....

Hey, I can't help it if I wasn't around when some issues were happening.

It's not selfish to say that people are overtaxed.

overtaxed is relative. Taxation is a function of "we" agree the State should be doing for us.. You want nothing (except probably some law and order and military issues) but many people see a wider role for the State.

The current tax rate in the U.S. is in the 30% bracket. In the early part of the 1900s, it was 10-12% and the government was able to function fine. People today are overtaxed.

In the Early 1900s the government was also not paving roads, building power stations, hospitals, airports, phone lines, schools......

If you think that is all over-rated you don't have to have it, or you can have it and get taxed.

Sadly, the American system is busted. The shrinking middle class is burdened with large taxes, while the rich get less tax. Hell, the newspaper even mentioned how some don't even pay taxes.

True, but we both know how much money the government gets which is wasted.

Yes you appear to be ruthless on your Conservative leaders when it comes to social welfare and immigration.
