I was just reading about these things on Wikipedia. If I remember this is a male lion and a female tiger, and then a tigon is a female lion (lioness) and a male tiger, tigons are smaller though. Still one Bad Ass hybrid.

It would only be more likely in captivity due to the closer confines, as most western societies are against this sort of species interbreeding. IIRC, the handful of Liger's in existence today have all occured through natural causes.Originally Posted by ScionDriver
