    Apple iPhone

    http://www.apple.com/iphone/

How many people saw this one coming

Must say it looks different to how I think it would look.

Looks like Apple have done it again though.

Thats actually really cool. Cellphones these days seem to have become somewhat of a disposable luxury, but somehow I don't think people will be switching this one up for anything else for quite some time. How much does one go for?

I personally don't like Apple. But this will probaby be a success, because of the name.

    Thats Fantastic.

The only thing it needs now is a Camera and I can truly have one device that does nothing properly.

    Still....Wow.

The iPhone's been talked about in teh industry for nearly a year
It's nice, typical Apple ! Bringing all the best into one solution.
    Beautifully slim.
Hopefully their touch identification works, coz the LG touch is a disaster
Running a variant of OSX too - can't wait till someone gets linux on it !!

But, they've announced it too early imho.
Given the competition time to beat it.
The "patents" claim is going to be interesting as to how many of those are "applying 'already known technique X' in a mobile phone" type . These seldom hold up and become "obvious" in the patent courts !!!

They missed out on adding GPS tho. One of the NBG (next big thing) in the mobile networks.

If the integrate sensible PDA operation for business ( ie word/excel/powerpoint equivalents ) then I'll still be seriously considering it.

my phone takes a beating, i dont think the iphone will! besides ipod=icopy, the whole imac thing used to be a niche now its a class defining product. ie if you want to be different get something else! Its just like that James blunt - the ultimate oxymoron, mass produced but pretends to be alternative indie label music. n-gage>iphone
