Wow, that's some good stuff there... What did it cost you?

I'm thinking about getting a new race bike... I'm struggling between Colnago and Trek.

55 km/h in a bike?? sry to be doubtful but can anyone verify the accuracy of the statement, i know normal bikes average something like 15 and even with downhill it would be insane to keep it moving at 30...the bike does look incredible, and it is a ferrari, the sytle though isn;t really my type..if you don't mind also what was the price, i never knew it existed..

in races that are be held in the Netherlands the average in 1 uur driving is ± 45 km/H

the bike cost my € 2.000,--
and the top speed was done on a flat surface with almost no wind

    Naan Eldering does it again.
On 4 and 5 september on the wooden track in Cologne Naan Eldering won first place in the 1000 meter in 1,068 and first place in the criterium with an average speed of 53,86 km/h. Of course Naan was using his Optima Baron Xlow. For the results check here

i prefer regular road bikes. although those are cool they seem to be able to put out the same performance speeds and those are harder to see so maybe more dangerous. probably more comfortable though. although u get all the bumps cause u can't damp them wit ur knee's

Thats the most crazy ass mother ****ing bike i've ever seen.

Seat certainly looks a helluva lot more comfortable than normal bike seats though.

    Is it comfortable?

True, I could reach 35-40 mph on my 10-speed bike on level ground. I added a speedometer. I also recorded some acceleration times; one of my brothers would use a watch and I would call out when I hit a certain speed. Here are the specs:
    0-10 mph-------- 1.4 seconds
    0-15 mph-------- 3.2
    0-20 mph-------- 5.0
    0-30 mph-------- 18.5
    0-35 mph-------- 33.0
    Passing: 5-15 mph- 4.0
    Top speed------- 37-38 mph

    And I once did a full-length 1/4 mile run:
    33.0 seconds

I still have a Schwinn Stingray, a single-speed with coaster brake (photo below). And also recorded some times:
    0-10 mph-------- 3.2 secs
    0-15 mph-------- 4.5
    0-20 mph-------- 6.5
    Passing:5-15 mph- 4.3
    ------- 10-20 mph- 5.2
    Top speed-------- 27-28 mph
