Hey peeps, this is a chop i just did for a local comp. The theme was to "turn the stock Skyline into something capable of a 7-second quarter mile"

You forgot to black out the other headlight...

pssss, some only leave one headlight out, as extra cooling for the turbo, or something like that.

    The chop looks decent

You will find alot race cars have a CF or fiberglass shell. I just decided to show it off and not have it painted over. People probably complain about your wings because they a crap... there is an idea

The headlight isnt just black... you can see the form of a scoop in the headlight spot. Its a direct intake to the turbo.

Hum... it's a wastegate or a blowoff valve?

I was under the impression that the exaust valve was named "wastegate" and the intake one was called a "blowoff"

You are right. A BOV vents pressure in the intake track when the throttle body snaps shut (pressure difference between intake manifold and intake piping pressure opens the valve). A wastegate limits the amount of boost the turbo creates by bypassing gasses though itself instead of allowing it to pass through the turbo. The small pipe is straight off the wastegate. A different pipe is used as wastegate gasses and gasses that come through the turbo have different swirl patterns... the two gasses hitting eachother can cause unnecessary pressure variations/restrictions, so its best to keep them seperate.

I like to include technical stuff in my chops so that they actually make sence. Most choppers have little knowledge of the technical workings of a car. How can you design something if you dont know how its gonna work???
