    Targa Tasmania

    Looking for some info/support.

    Anyone there or attended ?

The organisers aren't beign very helpful on travel arrangements and need to get some honest comments about ferry from mainland Oz, reasonable accomodation for 4+2 support crew, other things we could/should do if over.

Not for this years event. We got offered an entry but can't get the car over - a red A110 So for next year, 2 cars

Help .... all the Tasmanians please

    Ta

Never been myself but would be a interesting event to attend.

spiritoftasmania is the main ferry that goes between tassie and the mainland.

Pretty sure its not a full series. Last i heard, each event was something like $AUD2K entry for driver and navigator, and the rest is up to you (equipment etc)

Prices are quoted at around $199 Au for two people, a cabin and a car one way across to Tasmania on the Spirit of Tasmania ferry. trip takes anywhere from 8 - 12 hours.

i've not heard anything about Targa this year.

Yeah I'd been at the link syko gave and amazed at the low cost.
Comaprison for the Isle of Man TT -- the ferry is 30years old, cramped, smelly, UNstabilised for only 4 hours on up to 5m seas each WAY and costs $500 return. No cabin, no booked seat, no food rip-off

I must be missing something, but what threat is TT under for this year? The only thing coming to mind for why they may not run it is a kneejerk reaction from PB's death.
