$5,000,000.00 Shelby Cobra sold at Barret Jackson.

    Taken from Barret Jackson website:

"As history shows, CSX 3015 is one of two Super Snake Cobras built. The other being CSX 3303 built for Bill Cosby. CSX 3303 was a 1967 427 street car retained by Shelby American as a PR car and then made into a Super Snake for Bill Cosby. Cosby's record album titled '200 MPH' attests to the fact of why he only drove it once before returning it to Shelby American. Shelby American sold it to S and C Motors in San Francisco, who then sold it to their customer, Tony Maxey. Maxey destroyed himself and CSX 3303 by driving off of a cliff and into the Pacific Ocean."

That means in a nutshell that the car that was just sold a few minutes ago is a "one of one"

Not true, 3307 was later rebuilt after Maxey was killed in a crash.

S and C Ford still exists in the "gay" district in San Francisco.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Yeuch, a 3-speed auto? On that??

Oh man. What happened to a decent 4-speed manual?

    Still looks the utter business.

The automatic is probably a lower gear ratio which allow for better drivability.

I will never understand why a car can be so valuable just because its rare. I know its not just rare, but still...
I wouldnt even buy that car for 20 grand.

what reason other than "it's old" would you not buy it for? I'm sure it would be an amazing car to drive, and it wouldn't be too hard to switch it to a manual with the 4.08 million you'd save.

    ^ You mean 4.98 million...................math much?

But other than that, yeah, better ways of spending 5 million dollars in my opinion.
