    Shelby Super Snake sets record

The 1966 Shelby Super Snake, an 800-hp, twin supercharged monster personally driven by Carroll Shelby set a new auction record for an American car at Barrett-Jackson, with a final bid-price of $5.5 million... The purchaser was Ron Pratt, an American collector who also paid $4.32 million last year for the General Motors Futureliner... Crazy stuff

How much more is it worth just because Carroll Shelby drove it?

its one of only 2 ever made, and the last one still remaining. the other one was built for bill cosby back in the day and he returned it because it was too fast! the next owner of it drove it off a cliff and died. parts of the car were saved and then rebodied and sent over seas. so technically there are still 2 left although the other one shares virtually nothing with the original except the vin number.
