The story is so far a bit obscure. The website manager (classic car dealer) says the owner of those cars bought them all during the 80's. The owner said that once the ware-house was full he asked someone to shut it down. The doors were then welded. This was in early 90's. Now he invited this classic car dealer to come along in the day he decided to re-open the doors.
Why would someone do such a thing is still a mistery to me. But the fact that many cars were left with their windows down or tops open makes me think this was a fast decision. That and the fact that the owner asked to remain anonymous. But I'm purely speculating here.
Anyway, any 4 walls that contain 180 pre 90's cars and has at least 4 Elans and an Abarth, are precious. And those are far from being the most special cars in the pictures.

If you were going to lock all those cars in a shed, you'd have thought he'd at least have made sure that the bird couldn't get in! I dread to think how much it would cost to have each and every bird poo scraped off, sanded down and resprayed in a matching colour!

Edit: Also calling dibs on the 356 with the windows intact and the Cooper S, too.

I'll take a porsche, post 5 last pic, that's a beauty. But man they need to unleash a crew of men to get the shine back into these babies. The story of how they came to be that way does make sense though, i mean u'd have to be retarded to forget that u left 180 cars in a warehouse, so obviosuly someone did it on purpose..

A possible explanation: I think, but I'm not sure, that at that time (the early 90's) the collector car market was undergoing a low period. Perhaps the owner bought the cars at inflated prices and then watched their values plummet, so he had them locked away anticipating a time when the market would once again be favorable.

I'll take the two I've circled; I'm not sure what they are, but they intrigue me. Maybe the white Continental and one of the Mercedes sedans too; there seem to be enough of them.

From the looks of the storage I'd say the owner was in a rush to lock them up. I'm affraid he went through a rough phase and felt it was better if noone knew about he existence of those cars or at least were they were gone.
Anyway, from what I've read it was himself who re-opened the garage and sounds like they will all be ressurected.
