here are my design ideas to update the Mercdes SL look.

I tried to give the SL A single-frame look, without getting too near to Audis Design.

I think it's great... I don't know if you did it on purpose, but I really like that the lines of the front light goes all the way to the back (like the current CLS).

I like it, its got some SLR and CLS in it which can never be a bad thing in my book.

Not even, SL is soo gogreous, this adds an SLR element to it and takes it to another level but either way car is soo fine.

Mercedes' pentagonal grille is a key part of the design language and brand identity, so I don't think they would move away from that.

Of the two proposals I think the "blue" one is the better. The headlights of the "red" one are reminding me of the TVR 7/12 / T350C, and the lower grilles are a bit too fussy.

I think the back end looks very "Mercedes" though.

I like it very much. The design is consistent with current models and it looks sleek and stylish, like all Mercedes are supposed to look like.

That very bottom one is fantastic, so Merc but with such flair!
