Marketing win again. It's like the Porsche Cayman S & 911 issues. Don't want one car to cancel out another.Originally Posted by jediali

Hang on a minute. I thought the current bodystyle came out in about 2000? The 3rd gen Range Rover was still Land Rover-owned, wasn't it? 1994-2000... or something like that.Originally Posted by jediali

Did BMW provide the old 3.9 V8?

No, as I said Mk I and Mk II were 100% Rover, as far as I know.Originally Posted by Waugh-terfall

Actually, it was derived from a Buick lump. So no, not Rover
The Range... So much more elegant than the other SUVs... However, if I were you, I'd take a Renault Espace.
Yesterday we went back to the Land Rover, Volvo and Mercedes dealerships. And mum sold her Audi. She really likes the Range Rover. That was what she really wanted but she kept thinking about the seats. She doesn't like the Disco III as much though because of the boxy styling. She still wants the R63 AMG but i'm not so sure. I told her if you really like the Range Rover and my future get the Range Rover. Or two if you need the extra seats. The Mercedes is considerably more expensive and considerably uglier. But she likes the look of the thing. And doesn't like the Disco III. She's not going to buy yet because we are waiting for my dad to come back from his business trip. Maybe he can talk some sense into her and get the Range Rover Vogue Supercharged.
So in the end if you'll only have 5 seats, why not buy a car?
