    This is the best day ever. I turned in four essays, aced a quiz, the school started on fire, Brett Favre comes back and now, in a blaze of glory, MRDETROITMETAL is dead.

    Ultimately it was The Poor Fool's fault that he was banned;

    Trying to imply that his err... financial clout... could somehow pay for a change of moderating staff just reinforces his lack of ability to interact with other people in a rational way.

    I do, however, recognise the point he raised regarding how some members may have been a little out of line in making negative or confrontational comments where they may not have been particularly pertinent or constructive.

    Yeah but folks can easily confuse the term "constructive criticism" with only saying positive things.
    If something is SO bad that there is a list of 100 things to "improve" then the only constructuve thing to say to the owner is that it is crap and so they realise how far away from medicre it is.
    I reviewed the order of this guys posts a number of times before raising the spectre of ban with the mods and going back over it their was always one instigator on "attitude"
    Shame really, he has a good business idea and fortunately shared it with us so now any one of us can do a deal with Wouter to chop his up-to-the-minute pics from events and sell them with 10% going to UCP Frankly most of hte entrants in teh chop forum will do better end results -- me excluided, never was that good

    I'm not for a moment suggesting people should not make negative criticism.

    I thought his work was rubbish, and mentioned as much on occasion.

    What I am suggesting is that, after those initial criticisms have been raised, it may not be productive to keep on criticising in future posts/threads just for the sake of being antagonistic.

    A good example - pointing out it is crap is fine, but when the owner clearly isn't equipped with the mental facilities to accept and understand that criticism, is it helping to repeat that it is crap 100 times?

    Especially when, by way of a riposte, the person being criticised throws their toys out of the pram every time?

    I never thought I'd be able to cut it in the hard and fast word of "chopping"; then came my finest hour!

    Well.

    What are we going to do for fun around here now?

    LOL..wheres Gtek

    Its the end of an era as beforementioned, he'll be remembered for arrogance, unmovable commitment to arguments based on personal opinion with barely any backing from facts and some truly terrible (but occasionaly ok) car chops. For me, this will be a fine addition to the memorable moments I have had here at these forums.

    Farewell ole' fella, may you keep producing and talking crap
