These warnings are actually quite timely - considering the amount of dodgy places willing to fit LPG tanks 'on the sly' and on the cheap - with people keen to avoid the 2 year () waiting lists and expense of doing it properly, just to take advantage of the governments $2,000 grants.

if your going to do it, don't do it by halves, essentially.

Fuel should be getting cheap. The ACCC has finally decided to get tough on the oil companies so prices *should* go down and stay steady, no more prices going up straight away on a oil price rise and, if they get it right, no more colusion (sp?) from the petrol statiosn on pay day. 11/c in one day anyone?

That was just random the other day - went from $1.05 to $1.17.....almost as soon as the ACCC wrapped up their enquiries.......

    Tremendously lame.

Yes, going over old ground again

We've moved into town so those fuel figures were from the big servo in Hume, which is usually about as cheap as Canberra gets for petrol prices. In contrast to see-sawing petrol prices the retail cost of LPG is very stable, albeit @ $0.59 (pre 10c discount) is higher than in most other capitals

LPG effectively halves your fuel spend and I can't think of too many big sedans that cost approx 8 cents p/km to run!

According to the most recent census we make up part of the 14 residents of glorious Hume

Truth be told it's not toooo bad, still a bit rural, although I really miss the 'no neighbours for miles' aspect of the Merigan farm
