    UCP Supercar : The kick-off !

    Hi guys,

all the polls are closed and I have seen quite some activity on some departments ! Way to go guys !!

The departments are now as following:

I hope the mods will allow me to post this too large picture. If i reduce it's size, the readability severely suffers Thx !

To keep a good overview of the project for the management-team and have a good contact-person, I'd like to see each department chooses a leader. This person will have to be the contact point of the management and the other departments. They should also give some lead to their "employees". If possible I'd like to see this person chosen as soon as is possible.

The lay-out you have chosen is that of a Mid-engined, Rear wheel drive GT car. From this idea , the rest of the car should be developed.

Offcourse the management crew need to know about what is going in all the departments and what has been decided. For an easy communication, I have developed a format.

The 3DCAD drawings should be made in Solidworks. It seems that most people have a version of Solidworks. Im not aware which is the most common used file type for it. But if anyone could drop me a PM, it will be added here shortly

If any of you have any questions left, please feel free to post them here !! I will try to answer as many as possible !

    Good luck and have fun

One question, about the 3d drawings, even the car Exterior/interior design as to be made in SolidWorks? can't it be done in another program witch allows a more artistic aproach?

Drakkie, i can only see a red X for the picture. Also, if its too big to be posted inline, why not add it as an attachment?

Because MS made sure Windows isn't stable. It crashed and I needed a reboot. It is added quickly now.

As long as the files are compatible, i dont give a thing if you make it in something else If you need Solidworks, give me a message and i'll upload it.

I have autodesk inventor 10 now to make the engine drawings. I have no idea if it is compatible with solidworks.

It seems I am the only one in the engine department (I can't see the picture but Jediali quit and I haven't heard from P4)

I guess that makes me the leader...?

    Anyone intereted in joining?
Power, whether measured as HP, PS, or KW is what accelerates cars and gets it up to top speed. Power also determines how far you take a wall when you hit it

Carefull, Solidworks is a Trademark program, for your sake dont upload it personally. Refer people to www.torrentspy.com. Your less likely to get caught with a policy violation.
