    Klemmel's Datsun

First of all, no EGG NOG available until my next trip home (Easter?).

My car is a 1983 Datsun KingCab 1800 Delux, also known as a 720 in the US. It's runing a single overhead cam four-pot engine with one single carburator and aluminium valve covers(!). It delivers a claimed 78 HP through a five speed gearbox to the rear wheels. The claimed top speed is 155 kph (96 MPH) but at 110 kph (68) the aerodynamics extended effects is noticeable on the Richter scale.
A couple of years ago I tried to get rid of the rust (haha), but the result got even worse so I gave up

At least I have a car, it's great fun (especially in the winter) and I'm enjoying every single trip!

    Old-skool

I see you probably spent more on that CD player than you did the truck

Let me get this straight, is it RWD?

    Car: about 1000€
    Stereo : 360€
    Comprehensive insurance: 2200€ (Norway)
    RWD: priceless

Probably until I have finished at the university. It's very practical too, and does 0.7 ltr/10km if driven carefully.

That is all kinds of badass.

There is an unbelievable amount of fun to be had from cheap vehicles that never die.

Wow that's real cool. A Datsun. They don't make them like that anymore.

It reminds me of my dad's Integra four door hatch. It had an incredible amount of rust, plenty of battery acid stains on the carpet, bird crap ruined the paint, had some modifications to the intake to it (wonderful sound by the way) and went pretty quick.

Lets just say when it went up to speed, the carpet bulged up because of all the holes caused by the rust.

Still, that car I was very much attached to, since I sat next to my dad and I shifted for him. Wonderful memories in that car, I'm sure you have good memories in your car as well.

Old car + RWD + snow = unmatchable fun
There's nothing like an old car for a drive free of worries!
