    11yr old boy killed 476kg wild hog

    k, I belive in this news. BUT.

    Looking at the pics, i just think that it's quite impossible it only weighs 476kg. Judging from the size, 1 ton would be easily achiveable.

    And still i don't think they should allow such activities. That boar should be kept for zooing..

    that's insane. the article i read said it took the kid 3 hours to chase it down on foot? with a .50 calibre pistol no less.

    Yeah, I read it an article on it, as well. Apparently the kid put 8 rounds into intially, then they chased it for 3 hrs before finishing it off point blank in the head.

    And a .500 revolver? Fark.

    good point, i think they only said it was a hog not a boar though? not sure? even so, i am curious how it got so freaking big in the wild
    are pigs even native to the US or are they a feral species?

    That's not exactly a wild boar. All it is, is a boar being injected with all kinds of drugs and being fed constantly, over and over. There's been pigs like this before.

    I can go buy a .50 revolver at a local gun store. It takes .50 rifle rounds

    its a .500S&W

    and there are shorter .50 rifle roudns that are not 6"

    does nobody want to question the fact that an eleven year old uses a gun?

    i used a gun when i was 11 not a .50 cal pistol though...but hey, it's alabama.
