    dauer would win faster acceleration and top speed

    Let's compare the McLaren F1 to the Citroen 2CV.
    I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

    Plus, while it wouldn't handle as well, it'd definately go around corners better

    Not as well as a Bugatti Veyron, which has like, 4 1.8Ts.

    Another plus is that you can put that car to its limits at a much lower speed then the F1. I suspect, like most supercars, that you need to be going fast to get the feeling of "going-fast".

    I believe the 4.2TT sits on a podium overlooking all of the plebian VAG engines, the 1.8T cheif among them as the best common engine available.

    Yeah, but the McLaren and Dauer can carry the eggs down the Mulsanne straight in less time than the 2CV.
