Yeah even ricers are getting pulled now by the police and given restraint orders - basically they get one week to return it to 'standard' and able to pass an MOT test ( our annual emissions and safety checks )

Bet it just sounds like a beat up truck witout ANY restriction.
I agree it porbably sounds better with the cat out of the loop !!
Personally I like it when a designer pays attention to tuning the exhaust note.

In Europe the original Viper had to have the side exhausts replaced with rear exit. Sounded awful in comparison

Doesn't sound that great. Except at idle for some reason at idle it sounds real good. Once I get on it, it sounds Okay. I might leave it off since it gains 40-50HP. I just don't know.

why does that make you sick its not like saying stickers add hp, its true, a less restricted exhaust gains hp

Most aftermarket exhausts gain ~10% over stock. That'd be ~40hp for a Viper. Removing the cat might net an extra few. 50hp is doable.

Well, my brother's Ranger 4.0 Liter sounded great with them off. Only one problem, ILLEGAL AS H*LL in ALL 50 US states, espically California. Here in VA, I would slap you with a reject sticker, in Cali, probably a fine and a court apperance along with the rejection.

I ran my Mustang for a while open headers. The law didn't like it. Besides which, it won't hurt to have a little backpressure in the system for torque.
