I was actually suggesting that it's shifting towards imports. Isn't Toyota no.2?

Then there's this: "the low-price end of the small-car market is up 42.2%"- http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/...t_x.htm?csp=34

Still, they are a very small percent of sales, but they are growing in popularity.

That's the problem Peugeot will be faced with; the BMW, MB, Lexus and to a lesser extent Infiniti, Acura, Audi , etc. juggernaut.

Is the 407 FWD? If so, a FWD for $40K; I don't see any takers.

    It is a looker, tho...

Peugeot sells it's full line in Mexico, if anyone in the US is curious enough, all you have to do is cross the boarder and head for the nearest dealer.

Oh and I personally like current Citorens, but not much Peugeots, I think their design theme has gone terribly wrong with those big mouths...

Volvo's and Saab's are mostly FWD.

There is something about the modern day Peugeot's that I don't like. Even though they are very common in Finland, French have still got a reputation here for not being able to handle the winter properly.

Anyway, I think Peugeot's might have a chance in the States, they'll never be market leaders and many Americans wouldn't ever consider buying one. But I think there is a market for it.
