More reliability and genius from Japan, Asia. Old Honda's last forever.

This is a 1982 Honda Civic. My mother gave me her 25 year old Honda Civic 4 months ago. However, until Mum buys a new Ford Festiva or Honda Jazz... we share the car. IMO, this car is really special, I love the small details of my inherited Honda and I love the reliability and the amazing charm and "personality" the car has. I really think this car is one of the best cars from Japan, Asia.

It's interesting to see how big the current Civic has become compared to the old ones. Just like the Golf.

nota, that is correct ^. I bought a 7.3MP digital camera so I will post more pictures of the rear of the car which includes a HONDAMATIC badge... and pictures of the engine etc...

P.S- These photos were taken with a mobile/cell phone. Nokia 6280 2MP camera.

still good enough a camera to see that a vacuum cleaning underneath the handbrake could do wonders...

but the car looks nice, just showing that in a protecting climate a car can almost last forever, if miles covered remain within reasonable limits.

Adelaide is nowhere near a protecting climate - especially for cars.

Pieter, the crumbs and dust add extra character and charm to the car. Seriously, I regularly clean the inside of the car using a vacuum cleaner and some special "car cleaning cloth"

Really? Salting the roads during winter times?

My parents used to have an '82 Civic, although theirs was a sedan. They bought it new, and had it until 1990, when my dad totalled it in a parking garage accident. If he hadn't, we might very well still have it today. Great ride.

Wow, totaling a car in a parking garage, now there's a feat.

That Civic's condition is pretty damn good, looks like it'll be a fun little car.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

So what? I don't get it. That's is not a problem unless you drive a 60's Fiat.
