I even think it looks better then the 599GTB, 612 and F430.
    Indeed!

It looks better than 599 and 612, but almost every car does. (With exception of Aztek, Prius Mk 1 and SsangYongs maybe.) As for 430 - no way!
It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

That is half of their line up...

now it's time to call you crazy; as both 612 scaglietti and 599 gtb fiorano are spectacular examples of the top-notch of italian design pure beauty from every angle!

Thats your opinion ! Which I respect. You may call me crazy but the nose from the 599 GTB is not pretty. and that gap that the 612 has behind the front wheels is in my opinion just UGLY.

To call the 430 ugly is maybe a bit to much, but it doesn't thrill me as much a this Maserati GranTurismo does.

But if every human on earth would have the same judgment, earth would be a pretty dull place to live.

That's funny because they essentially originated from former Japanese creative director of design at Pininfarina, Ken Okuyama.

599 was penned by american, Jason Castriota

it proves that italian style can be learnt, and is as the most finese of all

So that's why the 599 looks like a glorified Supra. Jason must be a 2F2F fanboy.

    Ok, here's my opinion...

1- If you see so many different reactions to the car, it means that its design is interesting!

2-modern Maseratis usually don't look great in photographs (at most they look OK) but are much better "live". The quattropuorte is a vivid example...

3-grey is not the best colour to showcase curves and creases... it tends to flatten everything. So the car in reality will look wider, lower and more agressive with this enormous grille (how do they pass european pedestrian regulation is a mystery to me)

4- the rear reminds me of an older mercedes SL... go figure...

    5- it's a proper 4-seater!!!

The worst thing - it tries very hard to be a sexy car, but instead of woman's body GranTurismo shape reminds me a bodybuilder.

God I hope I'm wrong and it will look a million times better IRL...
I agree entirely. The worst part for me is underneath the main front grille there seems to be another opening that stretches the whole width of the car. IMO it looks really awkward. The wheelarches could doo without the crease around them too. I've attached a picture highlighting what I mean.

The basic shape looks great, but the details spoil it for me.

I absolutely love it. It's aggressive, and purposeful looking. It's got a nice mix of current Maserati design features, paired with a new edge that makes it look like it's ready to kick your ass.

    I'm afraid, very afraid.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.
