Sounds like the window regulator is sticking.

Get the door card off (may involve a bit of work) and have a weee poke around.

And japchat is useless isnt it, its about as dead as a bloomin funeral directors.

Terrible haha, I haven't used the window since, I had to drive all the way to college (12mi) through pouring rain the other day after making the mistake of opening it to see out to leave my road... Not great...

Stick the window up, try and get the doorcard off (Thats the interior door trim), most cars usually have bolts maybe sometimes behind the handles or something, the plastic switchgear surround should pull out then the door card should just pull off as it is held in by clips. Once the dorrcard is off, wind the window up and down and look for noticeable problems - maybe the mechanism is jamming? Plenty of WD40 (just dont get it on your window!!) around the mechanism and that should see you out.

Probably best to seek help from a Mechanically-minded friend if you are unsure - you know anyone?
