When i come to think of it, (out of topic, topic sucks anyway) why Ferrari launch FXX? It made that bunch of exclusive-handpicked owners of Enzo looked like bozos. They were carefully selected, paid their fair share of money for it, and they thought wow! I think i've got the most exclusive, fastest, meanest Ferrari ever! Wham! in their face, that african tribesman looking two-stripe-down-the-red-baboon-face pokey eyed FXX (XX? some numbers would work well right? ) was launched..... and will only be 'CAREFULLY' selected to few owners again. Imagine the owners of Enzo, with envious friends trying to pick up a chat :" Hey Mr xxxx, did Ferrari picked you to buy their FXX? " What a dumb arse car, created to WOW the kids (such as thread starter) and piss of the buyers. Great move FEWAWI...

Yeah and just how fast will the MC12 Corsa do it in then? 7 seconds around Fiorano is pretty signifigant as it takes somthing like 1'18 to go round in an Enzo? (Not sure on that)

The only way to settle this without any doubt in my mind is to test every car ever made on Top Gear's Circuit and leave it up to The Stig!

Hi. Please be more brief and to the point next time. First off, the FXX is not only a car for "special customers". The lucky owners brief Ferrari about the car's performance after every run and the FXX is used to aid in the development of further Ferrari road cars.

The FXX is the most advanced GT ever created at Maranello and its mission is to involve Ferrari’s most valued Clients as genuine Prancing Horse Test Drivers in their own right. The wealth of data and experience gathered in the course of this very special programme will be exceptionally important.

In fact, the feedback from these highly skilled, non-professional Client Test Drivers will be compared and supplemented with suggestions from Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello and Ferrari’s professional in-house Test Drivers.

Every Client who signs up for the FXX project by purchasing one of the estimated 20 or so cars being built, will actually be joining Team Ferrari, and will have his driving experiences at the wheel of this new car monitored directly by the Prancing Horse’s technicians and specialists.

The FXX has not been homologated for road use and thus will not be a competition model. It will be used exclusively on the track as part of a specific ongoing research and development programme featuring this first ever group of Client Test Drivers.
There you go. The Ferrari FXX was built for a specific purpose, not just for rich people to brag.

P.S. : And its FERRARI, not FEWAWI

Now, back to the main topic. I would chose FXX because, as quoted above in the Ferrari press release, the FXX was built for a purpose. Besides, they haven't even build the Zonda R yet.

i doubt the sr8 will beat this @ nurburgring.even though it weighs 2500lbs,it moves like it weighs as much as a tupperware container(as said on FerrariChat).especially if they went through and supercharged about 10 of them like rumoured.either way the fxx naturally aspirated is over 850hp at least(FChat).sr8 might beat the enzo on the nordshleiffe(hope i spelled it right).
Ferrari will be WCC. Whoever wins the WDC will be from the Scuderia.........Yet who?

if the pagani zonda F, Koenigsegg CCX, and the maserati MC12 can beat the standard Enzo on the TG test track, what makes you think something like the SR8 won't give the FXX a hiding?

Yeah- they were born for cornering and going insanely fast. Personally, I'd like to see the old RUF Yellowbird giving its all on there, vs. an Enzo or an FXX...

(Anyone got Sabine Schmitz's number, per chance? )

The SR8 WILL easily beat an FXX around the ring. Even the SR3 Turbo could embarass it quite happily. The SR8 has much more top end power than the SR3 Turbo, and I have no doubt whatsoever that the 650kg SR8 can outhandle the bulky FXX. Here, have a video of the SR8 completely killing the lap record for the ring! http://youtube.com/watch?v=dfqrHY_JEcQ

And you believe those rubbish from Ferrari's press release? Oh common, what tangible use do they have for "Owner's feedbacks" ? Do you seriously think Ferrari would overwrite Schumacher's opinions if 20 other "Professional Client" thinks otherwise? Yes, their feedbacks are highly A-P-P-R-E-C-I-A-T-E-D by Ferrari. Those are some sort of marketing gimmick-consumer satisfaction-brand empowering move rather than something outright CRITICAL. Think before you believe everything you heard of.

That's one of the biggest marketing gimmick I've heard, albeit a smart one. No harm eh? I'll be proud if i'm chosen, just wandering how would Ferrari's in-house engineers look at me if we're in a meeting together, whereby the agenda of that meeting, is the aerodynamics of the FXX's underbody at speeds of 80 - 120 ..... and the meeting for 120 - 150 is scheduled next week. Now i wonder, how would that proud, smart arse customer feel. . .. or perhaps an on-going investigation on the tyre's threads, perhaps a few degrees to the south on the 3rd thread from the left ........
