    The Union of Live

With "Games for Windows - Live" coming out on May 8th, we should have our little Live union. We can use this thread as discussion and to organize games with both X360 and PC users, and of course for some of our resident diehard X360'ers you'll meet the ultimate challenge in shooter games. First game to fully support cross-platform gaming will be Shadowrun (coming in June, FPS game), after MS dropped Halo 2 off the cross-platform list. See you guys in game by then!!

If you're in then post your platform(s) and subscription.

this is very very bad for xbox360 players!

PC FPS beats the hell out of console FPS. Not only because its so much easier. There will be an advantage from the start. Console FPS is basically based around strafing, because thats the way the directional controls are configured

Except that there are some people that are stupidly awesome at console gaming, just as there are those who are awesome at PC games.

But it's still much harder to multi-task with a controller. On keyboard and mouse I can easily jump forward while crouching, reloading, aiming, and changing weapons all at the same time. Lol.

So is anybody in the club or what? Maybe we can team up against outsiders instead of fighting each other.

Depends what games they are. If its just Microsoft games. There wont be much point in it. And to be honest, I'd rather play on an even board, where I know if im killing someone from Russia, they have the same chances as me which really does mean im better than them

I wouldnt want to let myself down, I practically top the charts on any server i play on with Call of Duty multiplayer. But thats because I've been playing it for 4 years. If xbox360'ers were playing too, itd be silly. If you spectate a console match, the way a player moves is totally different to that of a PC gamer. The keyboard and mouse setup allows for a 'natural' way of playing. Whereas a console player practically strafes everywhere. That difference would make it uneven which I'm not too keen on.

I'm not too keen on pc vs. console gaming.. especially in the FPS sector.

Having.. well, having used to playing counter-strike for a few years, the advantage of a keyboard and mouse over a console controller is far too great for fair competition methinks. Then again, if it works out alright and promotes better/fun gaming, I'm all for it.

Many Xbox Live games are too packed with modders/cheaters anyway, I can imagine it would get worse if people with pc's would join in...
