First of all, I want to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes. It helps a lot! My dad is doing better today. He reacted to my voice when I went to see him today! The infection in his lung is subsiding little by little the doctors told me, it's comforting to see he's reacting well to the treatment so far. God willing, if things keep going as they are. They'll take him off the respirator and tranquilizers by thursday or friday. He has a temporary pacemaker to stabilize his heart rate. It's at 62 beats per minute now. By friday the doctors will determine if he'll need a permanent pace maker.

Thanks again guys for your prayers and thoughts. It's touched me very much that some that say they don't pray will do so anyway for my dad. As a Christian I believe that there is no greater doctor than almighty God! Please keep praying, it's working!

it's fantastic to hear that he's responding well to treatment.

We'll keep praying for him - and for you and your family. your strength through this is no doubt a great comfort to your family.

Taz, your presence when the attack happened makes you qualify for the role of God in this case.... (For the rest I prefer to trust medical science...)

Good to hear things are improving, let's hope that there is no lasting damage done.

Thanks I just came back from the hospital and he's doing well, he's stable thank God. I'll know the results of the chest x-rays tomorrow to see how much the lung infection is subsiding. The doctors seem hopefull, the first critical 48 hours have past and things are going well so far.

As I was in the waiting room in the ICU, another family got the terrible news that their father had past away. I can't tell you guys how horrible I felt for them, tore me apart inside. Made me feel blessed and guilty at the same time that my dad is still with me. I hope they find resignation soon.
