Does anyone know of an example of when a single turbo was used on a V12?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make a single turbo system work on a V12?

Power, whether measured as HP, PS, or KW is what accelerates cars and gets it up to top speed. Power also determines how far you take a wall when you hit it
Engine torque is an illusion.
No.
Look up single turbo appliactions on V8s (there's a few around for the LS1) then make make it work on 6cyl per bank rather than 4
V12's are usally higher CI so a twin turbo would fit the application better. Kinda like why theres no single turbo vipers.

Single turbos are getting out of fashion these days. BMW is already putting a twinturbo on their inline 4 diesel.
Single turbos are more prone to lag.
Ferrari will be WCC. Whoever wins the WDC will be from the Scuderia.........Yet who?
I am a techie noob. When you guys are talking about twin turbos on V12s bieng common, what setup do you mean? Two on one bank or one on each bank of the engine?
one on each bank would be a twin turbo setup
two on each bank would be a quad

corvette turbo's are interesting, i saw one where the turbo's were in the back of the car by the end of the exhauast. only place wit room to put them. they'd suck the air from the back and intercool in front and then into engine. pretty interesting. a single for a v12 makes no sense.

Thank you Alastor for the very usefull link I will certainly have to check remote mounting out!
If anyone is interested I ask because I have a BMW M70 V12 and I am getting a new GT4088R turbo really cheap, and so I wanted to see if anyone had any experiance that I could learn from.
Matra: why the generalisation? I am sure that there is a way to get a single turbo to work on a V12 without suffering "horrendous losses"...
