Great effort mate, sounds like your getting it sorted Do you run the Advans 48r as a control tyre for the class or can you choose a different brand. We run ther Advans on our cars and they seem a good tyre as long as when their new you give them some gentle heat cycling, they seem to last longer and be more consistent.
My race car in the shop getting painted at the moment and the engine's on the engine dyno ready to be run. Hopefully I will get it on the track by July?August.

Your car looks fantastic, it also sounds like your having plenty of fun

    Thanks for the nice words!

We can use other tires as well, slicks to. But atm I compete in an Italian-only series, as-well as the National Historic series, And slicks is not approved in that series. So I stick to the A048's for some time. I get some good prices as well on them.
I normally change the set of four after two/three race weekends, but this car is new to me, so we'll see how much tires she use.
And she sure is fun to drive yeah

Can't wait to see the new color/livery on your car!
What are you taking out of the engine?

Im running a Toyota 1.6L 4AGE 20 valve, its essentially stock except for intake trumpets and a decent set of extractors/headers, its running aftermarket ecu.Hoping for 190-200hp on the dyno and with a dry weight of 750-800kg it will have a good power/weight ratio. Heres a pic of my car on the hoist, its in the paint shop getting painted white and heres a pic of the nephews car with the livery I will run on mine

Nice! remember to show us how she will look when you are finished!
The 4AGE is certainly a very tunable engine!
Mine has a 2 liter with aprox 190 hp as well.
But my dry-weight is up to 899 kg to.

I have been tuning her today though.....
You can really see the hp gain on the outside!!! 50-100 hp at least!

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

    Pretty girl... Kitty's jealous!

That thing must really shift. You've got at least 210bhp/tonne there, which is pretty sweet!

He has lightened the car throughout by replacing the metal with rust, so it should get even more bhp/tonne.

I thought rust came as standard in italian cars.

Ah, cunning. Instead of a honeycomb chassis, he has gone for honeycomb bodywork!

Here is some pics from my second race day.
Here i was contending an all Italian class, so anything from Ferrari to Lancia Delta Integrale, and down to Auto Bianchi A112 Abarth and Alfa Sud.

I won my class, purely because i am the only one in it, and i got second and fourth in total.
As you can see this day was blessed with the best of the British.
