No, comparing it to any other street car, even in your comparison the Boxer engine sounds 100X better than any Honda engine Ive ever heard.
Its nice a throaty, roars, doesnt buzz and fart:

(fast forward like half way through)
As for a proper V8, there is no comparison...

Slicks we get it you like V8's , there is nothing better than a V8 race engine with straight guts gears. But also the noise of a small capacity NA 4 cylinder with its ITB's wide open at 9000rpm sounds fantastic.
You go on about ricer fanboys but you would be the biggest fanboy of V8's on this site.
Heres a little vid of a decent NA 4 cylinder engine, this little weedeater engine is actually faster than many V8's, with your love for big V8's what are you compensating for ?

Vid doesnt work (its probably my media player's fault, it never loads vids directly).Heres a little vid of a decent NA 4 cylinder engine, this little weedeater engine is actually faster than many V8's, with your love for big V8's what are you compensating for ?

Let me guess though, its you or one of your friends racing around a track against restricted V8 cars, I dont really see what your trying to prove here. I never said 4 cylinders are bad, or sound bad, I did say Honda 4 cylinders sound bad though. (Noticed I posted the WRX, I love the sound of the boxer 4, because it doesnt buzz.)
thanks for the pointless input slicks. maybe you should stick to Z06 related threads.

The V8's are restricted only by size, the turbo cars are restricted by inlet size. These cars are under 2 litre cars that race in a seperate class to the V8's, so Im not quite sure what your getting at there
I'm just showing you that a well tuned 4 cylinder can sound as good although very different from a V8. In regards to the Integra, IMHO they are one of the best sounding engines going around.

Have you considered an RS Cosworth in one of its guises be it sapphire cosworth, 3door Sierra Cosworth or the ultimate RS500 Cosworth as they are so tunable and reasonable cheap to buy and maintain?
not in aussie chief, you'll never find one. Choice has been made anyway
03 WRX hatch manual. Had it for a couple of weeks now and loving it. It's so good to be driving a manual again.
