    0-400m times of various cars from 1953 - 2005

This informative acceleration compendium in PDF format features an international list of notable machinery from the last 50 years.

Vehicle types include Classics and Grand Tourers, Special Interest to Sports & Muscle cars, from fast performers to everyday rattletraps.
The entries range from humble 1953 sedans to modern supercars, and contains an emphasis towards Australian performance cars.

(I thought it best to post this here in the Car Comparison section, so mods please move to elsewhere if more appropriate)

Haha, no they wouldn't. I agree it looks like all these made up lists before every GT release.

So the Honda S2000 has 2 different times. One for Auto, and one for Manual. That's funny.....

I would like to make a couple of corrections:

    2003 corvette has 5.7 not 6.0

2000 corvette Z06 didn't exist probably meant to be 2001

Rather fascinating to see how little forward we have come sometimes. You know, I knew Cobras were good, and I knew they were amazing, and I knew that Caroll Shelby was a genius of automotive technology.

Quite simly however it is amazing to see that the 427 Cobra S/C runs down 400m in 12.3 seconds while the F430 Spyder does it in <12.5. That is incredible.

Quite the contrary I'd say. The fact that the F430 Spider and the Cobra 427 have similar results is amazing and a sign of how much tyre, suspension and transmision technology has advanced. Both have about 480-490bhp, but the Cobra is more torquey and lighter than the Ferrari, yet the Ferrari is as fast, maybe faster, as the Cobra.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.

That is fair, and along any track the Ferrari would smoke the Cobra, but that still doesn't change the fact that the Cobra did it in 1966!

While I do agree that the Cobra is downright amazing compare the power to weight ratios. 333bhp/tonne for the Ferrari and 471bhp/tonne for the AC.

Seen the 10.8 figure for the MB CLK GTR? And they still wanted to pass of that one as a "road car"! Hypocrites.
I was wondering, to keep up with that kind of unusable cars, what the figures for the TVR Cerbera Speed12 would have been...
