Assuming that photo isn't altered, I respect the technicality of that shot. Daan's photo, while beatiful and interesting, IS driven mostly by the content, not the quality. It's a neat idea, it's beatiful, but it's not something I would hang on my wall. The photo of the boy could stand outside the competition and have some worth, where I don't think the same of Daan's.What would Solomon say?!

Daan's photo is perspective altering. it is very, very good. thus it gets my vote.
Watermarks are great insurance against theft and copyright infringement. what some people forget is that this is someone's creative outlet, and it's not acceptable to copy someone's published work - regardless of its original source.

Publishing a picture on the net is admitting that there is a chance for it to be stolen. If you want to make sure your photo is not gonna be stolen, you don't publish it. Entering a picture with such watermarks doesn't make any sense to me.
