what makes a car sound good? (in terms of engine/exhaust noise)

It sounds good (of course), but if for some reason it sounded rubbish at speed what would be the point? Of course it isn't the case here.

I have yet to hear a car that sounds good at idle, but sounds bad when moving, or going WOT.

i don't really feel excited by either of those cars. Although leaving that out of it the older muscle cars do sound good. not a fan of last gen camaro's and trans ams and what have you, they lost something their predecessors had
