How I want to look in 30 or so years...

    Just had to post this...

While looking for photos of some friends that were at the ring this week, I found this. Is this cool or what! The car could be a little more sporting but I found it inspiring never the less...

Us oldies are more and more common on circuits and rally stages in the UK
Two brothers in Aberdeenshire ( 67 and 69 years old ) compete regularly in their Mk1 Escort on our classic rallies and don't hldl back. Did have a MAJOR off into the trees a few years back, but they rebuilt it and back competing within a copule of months
I'll definately be competing until they decide I'm dangerous !!!!

My dad had a friend named Bruno that was rallying into his 70's here in SCCA Pro circuits. It's too bad he crashed his Audi into the trees and hurt himself bad enough to retire from the sport.

Kept rallying into his 70s is only good in my book
Tho' I'd prefer to end it like Gerry Marshall - heart attack on the main straight and pull gently into the side.

    I wouldn't even be 50 yet

Anyway my granddad had a very rare disease a few years back (spontaneous paraplegia) and spent some time in the hospital. He left hospital walking and the doctors were applauding on the sidewalk for him and the medical miracle. Just 6 months later he bought himself a brand new car. Just 12 months later he could be found on a trackday at Zandvoort circuit in a borrowed racecar

    Similar to Denny Hulme then.

Isn't Paul Frere like 80 now? He's still testing/racing cars for magazines.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

More like 90 (He was born in 1917). He had a bad accident in the Nurburgring this January, but fortunately recovered.
