Wiki says the most powerful NA I6 cylinder engine is the 405 hp Speed Six from TVR, the most powerful NA flat 6 I can find is the mill in the current RS, and I doubt that there are any naturally aspirated V6s that are more powerful than either of those.

If this super GT3 is made, then it almost certainly would be the most powerful naturally aspirated 6 cylinder fitted to a road car.

In researching, I found this tidbit. It's a post on a GM forum that compares the engines of a G6 GTP, and an NSX. It is completely missing the point. Also, one of those cars is a legend - the other is a piece of shit.

Not even the BMW I6s? Did Jaguar do any I6s? And how about the Toyotas?

The Toyota I6s are older and were small (relatively) displacement-wise. Jag made I6s in the day, but they were old and not for sports cars so they wouldn't be it.

BMWs most powerful NA I6 would probably be a variant of the E46 M3's engine... The S54B32, which made 355 hp in the CSL.

Concerning the NSX vs GTP (C32B vs LZ9) the idea though that those two cars were compared is laughable - one is an legend that will go down in history as not only one of the best sportscars of it's era, but as the car that Gordon Murray had in mind when he designed the McLaren F1. The other well, is tarted up version of an ugly piece of shit car that will be forgotten from a dead manufacturer and used an engine with a perplexing mix of new and old technology - OHV with VVT.

The V6 in the Pontiac was also 700 ccs bigger.

Two things. First, i have baaaaad news . I've excessivly discussed the whole Jawa restauration thing with my father (who is the original owner) and unfortunately, he suddenly decided that he doesn't want me to resore it. Which means it will stand in the shed for another 10+ years. Still, thank you for your suggestions. Maybe i will be able to finally finish the project some day.

Secondly, I've heard very interesting news from the N/A front. It's said that Porsche will possibly bring the Über-GT3 with the end ofg the 997 Generation. This car is said to be powered by a monster 4.0 flat 6 developing 500 (!!!) hp. 500. Out of an N/A 6.
Even if it's just a rumor, it got me thinking. Could this be the most powerful N/A six ever? I would be very happy if anybody could find an answer.

That's a shame, Commodore... but isn't the Jawa 2-stroke? If so, there's not much you can do about the cooling issue by adding an oiler. Handsome classic bikes though, why not talk to him about a father-son project? Show him this, he's got to want it back on the road:

Regarding specific output for a 6 in any configuration, nearly every manufacturer has long passed 100BHP per liter. Without wading through spec sheets for current NA street engines my guess would be Porsche at the top of the list.

Don't worry...I've already found a new project (a considerably smaller one, though ). It's a 1958 Simson Schwalbe (model code KR-51). The chassis number says that it's one of the first 200 ever built. Technical numbers may not be impressive (less than 1 hp, 50cc, 2-stroke), but it's a cool little machine and i think it would be a shame not to preserve it. Apart from that, i need a cheap daily commuter for my new job at Burger King (jep, I'm not very happy either, but money is money).


Apart from that, i have to say something I rather don't like to say . I've lied about owning a Commodore which is made obvious by the fact that I'm 18 and don't have a big pocket. I'm currently taking driving lessons and I'm saving on my first car (which won't be anything special). The only reason why i stated this is because when i entered this forum, i thought nobody would take me serious for not owning a car or not having a license. I've figured out now that this is in no way the case. If I have fooled anyone with my behaviour, I apologize.
However, if you want to ban me now, do so. Rules are rules. But i hope you won't.
If you do, all I have to say is that this forum is a great sorce of information for every enthusiast that wants to hear different opinions and that I've enjoyed talking with you guys.

car clubs in that the only requirement for inclusion is enthusiam. Otherwise, most of club memberships would be limited indeed.

Must say though: it's more disturbing to me that Burger King has a presence in central Germany. That's just wrong.

Nope, the Commodore thing was the only lie. We do have a Jawa 350, but my father can be quite excentric when it comes to his old rides. I don't know why he doesn't want me to restore it, but it isn't the first time he blocked my efforts on restoring our family's rides. The same happened when i asked him about our '68 Fiat 125 Polski which is beginning to look quite bad... he's the classical "old guy" who doesn't want anyone to give him advices.

Still, that leaves me with enough work for years. The rides I'm allowed to rebuild include:
Simson Star
3 other Schwalbes
2 Jawa 20's
and an MZ RT. However, I will concentrate on my Schwalbe first because it's the only one that is in rather good condition.

Currently, I've begun to check the engine (laying around for nearly 40 years can do quite bad things to engines) and I'm raiding our parts storage for undamaged fenders (Schwalbes weren't special back then, nor were they expensive which led to rather bad care). I'll provide updates whenever I'll finish something

Burger King's presence is indeed shocking. There are at least 3 restaurants in a 20 mile radius around my home.
