I know more or less all of you worship the ford mustang because its one of the greatest cars ever made. My favourite Mustangs are the 1960-70 versions such as the Shelby Mustang GT500, possibly the best mustang but not the most well known. Check out the photos , add your own if you wish, and tell us what you think.

The GT500 is one of the cars that pop into my head when I think 'muscle car'. Alongside the Dodge Charger and Chevvy Corvette of course
Looks awesome, sounds amazing, and goes like a bat outta Hell!

Best Mustang IMHO is the '65 Shelby GT350 ... it would out-accelerate, out-handle and looks much better (I know its subjective) the GT500.
Mind if I add it to your poll?

There are far too many great mustangs. One of my faves is the 69 KR-1 I think it was called, unless I am mistaken it had a 428 CJ and was bad in black...
You gotta watch where you step though, the Gt500 in the movie is hardly a real GT500...they used something like 14 cars for the movie, and none had the proper engine. In fact, every car you see is a 67 Fastback with a body kit. The real shelby's just played the engine note. Fantastic car nontheless.

That black stang is gorgeous and exactly the one i had in mind, but I think it's a 69 (the 68 had a fastback with air scoops on the c pillar) and I thought it was a 428 cobrajet rather than a hemi...is that true or am i wrong?
