that stang you saw with the 302 written all over it probably had that 302 "Crammer" engine in it. good stuff, but its got nothing on the current crop of gm small blocks out there right now.

Keep it in perspective folks. The Mustang is made for the North American market.......where you can have a 300hp GT model brand new for as low as 25K(US). You cannot beat its performance/price ratio with anything sold in the North American market. Just because you have eggheads across the pond that are willing to pay tens of thousands more to import them and do RHD conversions shouldn't take anything away from what the Mustang is and has always been: an affordable entry level sports coupe.

The 5.0 "Cammer" you so jokingly refer to is not street legal......its an entry level Ford race motor. The engine in the PJ Edition Mustang this guy probably saw is a 24V 4.6 stroked out to a 5.0....and it makes 400bhp. Last time I checked, it took a GM motor with 6.0 liters to do the same job.

I'll take my 2000 335 cu.in., 385 hp Cobra R over the older stang's.
It has good handling and has a stable top speed over 150 mph. Does 12's in the quarter.Pulls a full 1g in the twistes.
Plus only 300 where made. Now thats a modern classic.
But it would be tough to pass up a sweet Boss 429 for 50K.
