    Ah.. I missed this thread.
    Good to hear you enjoy working for Aker Kværner. (Or isn't it Aker Solutions now?)
    I have a friend, who also works for Aker Kværner in Norway.
    She works with something oil stuff.. She also has a master degree of some kind.
    You have probably not met her.. as you are 24 000 employees!

    Hope you continue to enjoy your career and work, one of the more important things in the life of the working man.

    It is Akersolutions - i am impressed! I am enjoying my work witk Aker but I am more commited to my field of work than the company itself. Truth is I am in the minority as a staff worker amongst many contractors.

    The Aberdeen side of Aker is much smaller than the Norway side, while we share many projects and maximise each others niche abilities there is a lot of communication. I have been to Bergen a few times for this reason.

    Bear in mind the ratio of male engineers to female engineers is so meger it is likely that if I meet your friend It would probably be fairly memorable. It is such a male dominated industry in Aberdeen that I get teased for speaking informally with the younger female designers.
