    Yeah, read that one the day he posted it. He's pretty radical in what he says, but convincing and funny as hell in the way he presents it. <3 Maddox.

    eProps for his use in Calculus of showing the number 1 in the 'Internet Communications Device!!1!ONE[lim(x=>0) (Sin (x)/x)'

    well if the limit is tending to zero and the value is sin(0)/0 the solution is infinity...

    You're right, my mistake. For some reason I thought the 0 was a 1, even though I wrote a damn zero in the post above yours.

    the value of the limit lim(x=>0) (Sin (x)/x) is 1, because Sin(0)/0 = 0/0 and this is not infinite, is a indetermination just like infinite/infinite, so you can use a method like L'hopital to solve it.

    So lim(x=>0) (Sin (x)/x)= lim(x=>0) (Cos(x)/1)= 1/1 = 1

    If Maddox went all out in using L'Hopital's rule to determine that the limit of that equation is 1, that's kind of... overkill.

    Its approaching 1, thankyouverymuch. there's an asymptote of indeterminate tachyons that sent the Enterprise back in time at x=0 however.

    (The limit as x-> 0 of x/x is 1, however, 0/0 is undetermined, often defined as +/- infinity. The graph would look like a straight horizontal line through Y=1 that has a hole at the axis.)
